Novel Scans
Here are scans of illustrations from Tomo Takabayashi's original Ma no Tsuku (or just Maruma) series of novels, from which the anime and manga are based.
Image Cross-References: I'm too lazy to go through and annotate individual cross-references on this page, but many of the cover illustrations of these novels are also available as textless clearfile and shitajiki scans, which can be found on the merchandise page. Also be sure to check out Newtype 2004 scans for some textless, albeit small, versions of some of the novel covers below. Finally, a few black-and-white novel illustrations have been colored and used on various Asuka manga furoku.
