January 2006 Newtype USA From voice actress Mitsuki Saiga (she does Wolfram's voice) Wolfram's the bratty demon with the face of an angel, but that's just fine with his voice actress, Mitsuki Saiga. "Considering how many strange demons there are, why shouldn't there be a selfish cherub for everyone to dote on?" she laughs. "I admit he's quiet a handful for his brothers and Yuri. I just make sure to remember what makes him tick, and try to have fun. He's cool in a lot of ways." So what's the story with Episode 18, when Wolfram confronts Yuri about his feelings? "He's head over heels for Yuri. Coming from him 'wimp' is an affectionate term! I just want to get the feel of the character right, the 'seflish brat that everyone loves'"says Saiga. From where we stand, she doesn't need to worry, because it comes through perfectly. We're looking forward to seeing more of Wolfram's heroics. About the next episode previews at the end of each episode: . . . the next-episode previews written by show director Junji Nishimura and rattled off at super speed by Yuri's voice actors Takahiro Sakurai (Japanese) and Yuri Lowenthal (English). According to inside sources, the previews were a battleground for Nishimura and Sakurai, with the director constantly piling on more text than anyone could say in the few seconds allotted. Sakurai boldly rose to meet each challenge!
